hello i have a HP Pavilion i don't know the exact model but i know that the number is CNF6442WFL the current operating system i have installed is a 64 bit windows XP home edition, this issue arrases when i formatted my drive i had linux mint and i used up about 64 gb of my 98 gb drive and figured it would be faster since i didnt have anything i needed to keep on it that i didnt back up so after formatting install windows XP. Most of the time you need HP Wireless Assistant installed and used to enable the wireless adapter before Intel driver will install.
the only error i could find said " the drivers for this device are not installed [code 28] to reinstall the drivers for this device click reinstall drivers" so i clicked it but since theres no internet i cant reinstall it.... The number you posted earlier was leading to Desktop machines.
